Meta is seeking a strategic thinker to join our Federal Policy team as a Public Policy Manager. You will work on issues related to the Internet and Facebook's mission of giving people the power to build community and bringing the world closer together. These issues include, but are not limited to: data privacy, data security, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and consumer protection. In this role, you will serve as a point of contact to the Legislative Branch on issues important to Facebook’s mission. You will be responsible for understanding Facebook’s policies and business priorities, and for being able to communicate those to policymakers and stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues across the business and the globe, and engage with industry trade associations and third-party groups. The ideal candidate will have established relationships and experience working at the federal level, with a focus on experience working with offices in the United States Senate.
US Public Policy Manager Responsibilities
  • Maintain and build relationships with policymakers
  • Cross-functionally work with internal stakeholders such as legal, communications and the broader policy team
  • Advocate, internally and externally, policy positions that keep Meta and the broader technology industry competitive and innovative
  • Represent Meta in meetings with policymakers and stakeholders
  • Communicate Meta's positions to policymakers and to external stakeholders
  • Identify, monitor and analyze relevant policy trends, legislative proposals, and issues of importance to the company
  • Articulate our policy positions in briefing papers, consultation responses and internal policy meetings
  • Advise internal colleagues and teams on public policy matters to help guide development of products, services and policies
  • Develop and execute strategies for engaging with public policymakers around issues important to Facebook and the people we serve
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy or related field
  • 7+ years of Public Policy experience
  • Knowledge of the legislative process
Preferred Qualifications
  • JD or MPP
  • 2+ years of technology policy experience
  • Hill experience

$183,000/year to $253,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base salary, Meta offers benefits.
